Hello!
You’re probably wondering what this blog is all about. I mean you wouldn’t be on the page titled “About the Blog” if you weren’t at least a little curious!
To keep things short and simple, here is the basic rundown of what I’m trying to do.
I’ve been doing theatre for a couple of years and something that was difficult for me at first was finding monologues. You’re told you need one, but where do you….get one?
Unless you enjoy reading plays (which I do, but it’s not everyone one’s cup of tea I get it), you kind of feel like you just have to stumble across one by pure chance and hold on to it for dear life.
I’m here to try and make your monologue search even just a smidge easier. I almost obsessively keep track of monologues in plays that I read because I figure either myself or someone I know will need one some day.
But I figured, “Why stop at helping friends? Why can’t I help complete strangers too?”
So here I am, here you are, and here is this blog.
I’m just a simple theatre loving woman trying to give back and make theatre and finding monologues a little less daunting.
